There is a general TRIGGER WARNING on this blog for graphic images and frank discussion of BDSM and other kinks along those lines. I'll be tagging any posts I feel might be triggering so filters can pick up on them, but nothing will be going under a cut. If there are certain tags you'd like me to use, please let me know.

Feel free to send a message if you have any concerns, questions, or just wanna chat and give your own opinions and fantasies. Be sure to tell me whether or not you're comfortable with a public response.

Thanks for reading. :)

body positivity vs porn

It seems like a fatty can’t put up a nude without making a political statement on tumblr. Belly rolls always get pasted over by body positivity messages. I’m all for promoting body positivity, but I think people ought to save those sorts of comments for activist communities and the like. And for nudes that were made with the intent of promoting body positivity.

For fuck’s sake, if you really thought it was sexy, you’d wank to it, not reblog with some goofy condescending comment like, “All shapes are beautiful!” How patronizing. I find it almost as irritating as the disgusted remarks trolls make about naked fat people. Obviously, we have a long way to go if the three extremes we’re working with are disgust, fetishizing, and a detached sort of approval from the socially conscious.

I think similar problems probably pop up for POC nudes, trans nudes, disabled nudes, etc…

There’s a time and place to appreciate a movement. And a time and place to appreciate an individual for something other than what their looks represent.

If I reblog a photo here, it’s because I find it hot. I’m not thinking about the social significance of the stretch marks, surgery scars, or skin color. I’m thinking of putting my hand in my pants because I’m looking at someone sexy. So there. *blows a raspberry*
